Oakwood Primary Academy is one of the four original schools that became part of Aurora Academies Trust in 2012. The school is at the heart of the community it serves. Situated in the Willingdon Trees area of Eastbourne, the school is two-form entry and has capacity for 420 pupils across fourteen classes. In addition to the main school building, we are proud of our Foundation Village, where pupils from our Nursery and Early Years setting engage in learning through play together – this is a unique feature of the school, and includes a sensory room and woodland. We benefit from generous school grounds.

We have high aspirations for all our pupils. We are proud of our consistently strong outcomes in helping our youngest children learn to ready successfully. Our curriculum is engaging, challenging and fun for pupils to experience. Our skilled and creative teaching staff are passionate about making learning engaging and meaningful.
