Teacher-The Gatwick School

Hello! My name is Bethany Dean and I am a Primary Teacher at The Gatwick School. I completed my QTS last June through Equalitas, as a Teaching Apprentice. Through this opportunity, I was able to learn the way I know best- by doing, observing and reflecting! During my studies, I was able to build the fundamental skills of a teacher and learn valuable strategies to aid my children's learning. My weekly studies supported me to better understand the Primary curriculum which seemed so overwhelming at first! Music, RE, Geography, PE... There were opportunities to strengthen my understanding of every subject, in training run by specific subject leads, so that I could confidently plan and adapt learning for my class. 

I am so grateful that I could complete an apprenticeship into teaching as it allowed me to reach a professional goal and surpass expectations of myself by achieving a Distinction.
